Hand-making beautiful creations has always been my passion. My diverse artistic interests have spanned from Jewelry Making, to Painting and even Glassblowing. I have taken components from each phase of my artistic journey and now find myself enraptured with Woodworking. The smell and feel of working with wood is reminiscent of a special, peaceful time in my life that I had spent living in a remote log cabin in upstate New York.

I absolutely love my handcrafted ball point pen and feel incredibly fortunate to own one of Michael’s beautiful wooden creations. It’s a handsome writing tool, warm and comfortable in my hand which, as a writer, is important to me and often marks the difference between a good pen and crappy one.
 
Further, I know it’s one-of-a-kind; That I am the only person on the planet that has this particular wood-grained ballpoint pen.  And who knows? Maybe, just maybe, it will be instrumental in starting that novel that’s waiting to be written.

I pride myself as being the first official patron of an MG Designs original.  I placed an order for a rosewood bowl as a gift.  Knowing that it is handcrafted, I placed my order a few months in advance because I understood the many facets involved in making such beautiful artwork.  When I gave the gift to its’ recipient she was beyond overjoyed and in awe of its’ beauty.  The bowl was that much more meaningful because it was created specifically for her and with her in mind.  I was so elated my present was a such big hit that I immediately ordered another one as a wedding gift and know my next gift recipient will be just as happy as the first one.  I am now in the process of figuring out a design for me!  Thanks, Michael for creating such beautiful pieces.
